About This Piece

Vintage Design

Pair of iron ornament vases with iron -erater Napoleon III gains from Val d'Osne. Piédouche vases are decorated with putto on the handles, lion muifles, clusters of fruit and lilk flowers on the paunch. Piédouche is bodied.

The sheaths are animated by masks, festoons, moldings and acanthes. Founder Val d'Osne's cachet at the bottom of the sheath.

This pair is listed in several palaces, notably that of Biarritz.
