About This Piece

Bronze with golden patina of Alfred Bucand, known as Dubucand (1828-1894). This French sculptor is known for its animal groups and its experiments on chemical patinas. During his short period of activity, 16 years, he will have paid particular attention to the anatomical details of his subjects.
"The pheasant" is a naturalistic work, representing a game advancing in the vegetation, the stretched neck and the beak slightly open.
This bird is based on a hollow base by the author.
This pheasant, whose details, meticulously chiseled, are highlighted by the artist, will delight lovers of art and nature.
