Vintage Design

A mirror that is an early example of the Biedermeier style. Smooth silver frame with a beautiful gloss. Decorative elements in the form of rosettes placed on the corners of the frame. Signed at the top of the B.E frame, they were probably the owner's initials. The silver frame also has a punk and signature on the back.

Visible purity and simplicity of the design broken by a delicate, Classic decoration in the form of convex rosettes. Due to its form and relatively narrow shoulders, the frame seems to have perfect proportions. The mirror is mounted on a solid wood structure. On the back of the mirror there is a height-adjustable Stand for tilting. This unique decoration, due to the possibility of placing it on furniture, can be a beautiful culmination of a dressing table.

The whole is characterized by a sophisticated combination of simplicity and pure form with decorativeness and silver brilliance.

The presented item is an example of Biedermeier style crafts. This style developed in Central Europe and is strongly associated with bourgeois culture. Also called the last phase of classicism, he drew inspiration from ancient forms with a clear division and a clean line.
