Antique Empire Chandelier with 15 Lights, 1890s

Ancient Empire chandelier with an imposing appearance, with precious bronze castings, which, combined with the long wires made up of crystal spheres, create a harmonious and solemn figure capable of embellishing any environment. The chandelier comes from an ancient Turin building, it was made in the late 1800s and early 1900s in the years of the Belle époque. The robust structure is composed of rich castings of well chiseled bronze with ornamental motifs depicting laurel wreaths inspired by the Louis XVI and Empire period. The chandelier is surmounted in the upper part by a bronze crown with blue decorations, from which long chains formed by bronze friezes and rows of crystal spheres descend. The central part has been enriched by elegant friezes in chiseled bronze and by the arms made with rich workmanship in solid bronze that support the original antique candles of the period, composed of a central core in wood and covered with opal glass. The chandelier has been completely disassembled, cleaned and restored, the metal has been freed from oxide, the crystals have been removed and cleaned, many have been replaced because they were damaged, while the electrical system has been redone as new (in the final 2 photos you can see the chandelier before the restoration). Very bright chandelier with a total of 15 lights (6 external and 9 internal candles), it also works with led bulbs.
