This is an antique helmet scuttle. An English, brass fireside coal or log bin, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

Graced with superb colour and appealing form
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

Quality rolled brass handle held stay with attractive quarterfoil mounts
Prominently mounted upon a stepped conical base

This is an attractive antique helmet scuttle, as useful beside the fireplace now as it was over 100 years ago. Suitable for all fuel types. Delivered polished and ready for the fireside.
