"Berlin Cast Iron, Dish, 19th Century" A rare and attractive 19th century German Berlin Iron (Berliner Eisen) decorative art figurative cast iron plate. The famous Berlin Irons are highly sought after and collectible as they are a very special piece of history. The Prussian royal family invited all citizens to contribute their gold and silver to financing the uprising against Napoleon during the War of Liberation. The plate has a mark on the back and is in very good condition with a beautiful patina of time Diameter 21 cm
