Vintage Design

This beautiful chamotte clay bowl is a production of the potter Albert Thiry in Vallauris. It is a touching piece, sophisticated and rustic at the same time. The central motif is highlighted by a green border and scarifications around the edge of the piece. The work of chamotte clay, typical of the ceramist, brings grain and texture to the ceramics. Serving dish, centerpiece decoration or storage compartment, it is a moving piece inspired by folk art.

The cup is a good size, deep. It is signed Thiry at its base. It is in very good condition.
