Early Northern Swedish Country Pine Sofa

Early country sofa from Northern, Sweden. The straight shape and restrained decor was common during the late 1700s which is around the time the sofa was made. Made in painted pine with traces of the original blue paint. Wooden decor around the crown carved by hand in the shape of a roll. The back and arm rests also has a lightly ribbed decor following along the top. The sofa has a convenient storage space underneath the seat. The seat is new and upholstered in new linen fabric. It has a small dry crack in the back nothing that affects function or stability. The sofa is in structurally sound condition with a healthy and solid frame.
