About This Piece

Vintage Design

Pair of Napoleon III style electrified oil lamps. These white earthenware lamps are painted with pink and yellow flowers, leaves and branches. These plants worked in an Asian style surround the body of these finely worked lamps. The latter have a ventrue belly and a long neck topped with a chopped bronze collar. Each lamp rests a bronze base decorated with scrolls and pearls. At the top, large opaque glass globes are engraved with a wide frieze with stylized floral patterns.
