Early 20th Century Walnut Nightstands with One Drawer, Set of Two.
Pair of early 20th century Louis XV style French walnut bedside tables. This pair of French 'tables de chevet' was created in the early years of the 20th century, at a time when the country revised the Rococo style that marked the reign of King Louis XV as a means of reviving national pride and heritage. Each of these exquisite end tables features a meandering tray top framed by a two-room gallery. The tables are adorned with a fine tongue and groove drawer. They also have a low open shelf, raised on four tall and slender cabriole legs, typical of the Louis XV period. The set is delicate and elegant, with a beautiful patina and lines that will add a touch of sophistication to any room, especially a bedroom where they can be used to anchor a bed.
