Lovely circa 1920s gold giltwood gesso occasional table with mirror top and putti on swing base A lovely piece, this commands attention in any setting, it has such a feeling of life and innocent pleasure. The table has been gold leaf gilt from top to bottom, the mirror top can be used as a tray, the underside reveals a storage area. Alternatively, is has been altered so the mirror can stand and be used as a dressing table The condition is good, there has been some touch up to the gold finish here and there, otherwise its totally original Dimensions: Height 143cm with the mirror erected, 88.5cm with the mirror flat Width 63cm frame, 44cm mirror Depth 47cm. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
