Henry Alken Set of 8 Lithographs from His 1830 'Ideas' Series Set of 8 sporting lithographs by Henry Alkin(1794-1837).from his 'Ideas' Series.Each plate with witty 'words of wisdom' about hunting on horseback and other sporting endeavours.Printed and published by Thomas McLean of 26 Haymarket, London.All presented in dark, gold trimmed frames.A must have for any wall of a period house or establishment. Dimensions: Frame measures 38.5cm across by 31cm. Print measures 24cm across by 16.5cm high. Weight: 1.2 kg Condition: Some lithographs have a little brown spotting, dirt or minor browning. A professional clean will help with these. Frames have various nicks. 1 frame has missing piece to lower left. 1 frame missing glazing. 2 frames with cracks in glazing. But condition is commensurate with age. Please see photos.
