Large Antique Gilt Frame Mirror. Large 19th century full length wall mirror with simple moulded gilt frame and original glass, makers stencil to the rear board, Frooms Looking Glass, 136 Strand, London. William Froom is documented as a carver, gilder and looking-glass manufacturer based at 136 Strand during the period 1825-39. The Dictionary of English Furniture Makers, 1660-1840 , ed. by G. Beard and C. Gilbert, 1986, pp.'s 322-3. Dimensions: 93cm wide x 174cm high. Condition: The candle sconces are not included, the frame has been regilded in places, lots of spotting and foxing to the glass, light scratches to the glass.
