About This Piece

Vintage Design

A pair of sconces of Doria-Werke Walter Donner GmbH & Co. KG, Furth clear frosted glass blown molded tubes hang on a brass gilded frame. Doria was a company for the production of lamps for private use. In addition to glass production and refinement, table lamps, wall and mirror luminaires as well as pendant and chandeliers were produced. The Doria Werke worked closely with various German major Industrial designers such as Wilhelm Braun or the former Bauhaus student Wolfgang Tümpel. The company received more than 30 awards for its design from 1961 including the IF Design Award. Two sets available. Price a pair.
