The wall lamp is made of brass, it was entirely made of acanthus ornament. Stylized acanthus leaves intertwine freely to create a decorative structure

The wall lamp is characterized by high decorativeness and drawing on classic motifs. Decorations in the form of acanthus leaves refer to the ornaments used in antiquity, the Renaissance and in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The acanthus is a Mediterranean plant whose stylized leaves were a popular decorative motif in ancient Greece and Rome. In the Renaissance, acanthus was the main ornamental motif, and over the following centuries it underwent many stylistic changes - from lush acanthus (from around 1630), through dry (from around 1700) to flaming (after 1725).
