Late 19th Century Teak Travel Trunk

About This Piece

Vintage Design

This teak chest is composed above, on the sides and on the facade, of a single board each.
Wledge of solidity, the angles are embellished with reinforcements in brass and, each edge, strips also in brass.
The cover locks using a functional and original two -point lock with applied diamond input.
This cover, mounted on three hinges, is held open by a brass compass called "knee".
The interior offers a large storage space as well as a niche with a lid, on the left side, surmounting a small shelf.
This high quality trunk, equipped with a arrested bronze carrying handle on each side, rests on two side elements cut in teak.
This travel trunk will end up with you bringing an undeniable style to your interior decoration.
