About This Piece

Vintage Design

Chest of drawers, Dark and light wood marquetry on all sides.
It opens on the front by three small drawers, each with a cut lock entrance in cut brass and its respective key.
The body of this small drum table, by definition high on feet and oval silhouette, offers a top of the same shape. The latter, bordered by an openwork brass gallery, has a nice decor of bouquet of flowers surrounded by scrolls and other inlays in its center. This medallion is framed by a frieze alternating dark wood and light wood. The marquetry is omnipresent on this piece of furniture, also, in the same spirit, we will find it on its rounded sides, on its rear part, above its feet or on the facades of its drawers. The floral theme is recurring, except on the Rognon spacer of spacer where a set of kitchen accessories is represented.
This little lady's table rests on four long feet with a curve characteristic of the Louis XV taste, and are finished by four bronze hooves.
We will appreciate the finesse of the marks of this chiffonnière, as well as the many shades of shades from which it benefits and which make it a piece of furniture full of elegance and refinement.
