About This Piece

Vintage Design

1st edition reupholstered Mah Jong modular sofa set by Hans Hopfer, designed in 1971 for Roche Bobois. It features multiple cushions that can be arranged in an endless number of ways, This set includes 12 cushions and 5 backrests. Hopfer’s Mah Jong is one of the most iconic midcentury seating designers. The striking, luxurious new Ankor Chamois fabric by Pierre Frey truly takes it to the next level. This plain fabric with a subtle blend of yarns is reminiscent of natural Asian straw. All Square cushions (Measures: 95 x 95 x 19 cm)
