The volumes are tapered solids that can be set up in multiple arrangements which, in combination with stone, metal and glass surfaces, gives form to different furnishing elements with varied silhouettes and heights. The name, easy to pronounce both in Italian and in English, means “first'' and draws reference to an early 1990s construction blocks game but especially to the inaugural limited edition collection by Samuele Brianza. The marble blocks are in Paonazzo, a uniquely distinctive Carrara with grey-blue veins on warm white veiled in pink and olive green. Each section is cut from a single marble block and lathed individually by hand. Primo is a console, a coffee-table, a nightstand, a dining table or simply a sculpture handcrafted and made in Italy. Samuele Brianza is an Italian born New York and Milan based architect and interior designer with 15+ years combined experience in residential, retail, and event production design and management. For over 12 years, he focused his career in retail working for three different major companies delivering over 1,500 points of sale worldwide with a clear and proven ability to translate aesthetic and brand essence into store environments. He has been responsible for the store concept research, design, development, implementation and value engineering for seven different fashion labels. He has a strong commercial acumen to finalize spaces that generate traffic and maximize commercial objectives, focusing on the customer space experience and brand heritage. For the past three years Samuele is freelancing as architect, interior decorator and set designer both for residential and commercial spaces working for private clients and cooperating with major brands such as Bulgari Louis Vuitton, Diane Von Furstenberg to mention some. In Fall 2020 Samuele launched his first product design limited collection named PRIMO a marble, stone, metal and glass modular system made of load-bearing elements and shelves that gives form to different furnishing elements with varied silhouettes and heights.
