In this wonderful oil on panel Allegretti, follower of the Posillipo School, expresses his passion for the Neapolitan classical artistic tradition. The artist has a high level technique that allows him to obtain a perfect naturalistic rendering, especially in the representation of genre scenes, landscapes or animal portraits. Everything is depicted with great attention to detail. His painting is very objective, eschewing any form of pictorialism and proposing an obvious plasticism consolidated by a solid design structure. On all this the light spreads with warm glares on the surface of the water.
