The suite is commonly refered to as the “Los Toros Suite,” and depicts views of a bullfight from the sidelines as though Picasso had quickly sketched them while sitting in the stands. Bullfighting was an important part of Picasso’s heritage and there are a number of Picasso bullfighting series.
