The massive wood base of the Pola sofa is a nod to Sebastian Herkner’s passion for craftsmanship and forgotten ancestral techniques. The designer had in mind the traditional architecture of woodwork and the joinery details.The upside-down Pola’s frame is not above the head but rather below and the smooth wooden beam construction gives a floating aspect to the opulent cushions.
