Raffaello console by Daniele Daminelli (Italy, 2021) Capsule Collection Reinassance. Dimensions: 40 x 40 x 90 cm Materials: carved wood and satin steel structure. Blades and monoliths of pure abstraction are embedded onto the monumental legs of a nineteenth-century Italian table, overflowing with decorations. Or a dense inlay of oriental scenes. The journey is in time, in style, but also in space. It crosses East and West. And the journey, that draws on different cultures, leads to hybrid furnishings, with an aesthetic somewhere between a master of minimalism like Carl Andre and the most refined wood essences of high antiques. The chairs of an oriental living room, for example, made in Hong Kong at the beginning of the twentieth century, have a decorative light-heartedness that knows how to dialogue with steel. This is the project of SUPERMOBILE2046, signed by Daniele Daminelli, a rising star of limited edition Italian design-sculpture, selected among the 100 designers of the moment in the list of AD100-Special decorator. STUDIO2046 is an interdisciplinary architecture, interior, and product design firm based in Treviglio, Lombardy. Established in 2017 by Daniele Daminelli, the firm seeks to create elegant, versatile interiors that are at once nostalgic and contemporary with an eye towards the future. Daminelli’s passions for Asian cinema, fashion, and European Baroque art are reflected in all projects which come to life using modern, innovative technologies. STUDIO2046 is committed to sustainability and strikes a balance between style and environmental impact in line with European standards.
