About This Piece

Vintage Design

Heavy and very durable made M 1 square coffee table. Black glossy metal frame of 7mm thick solid flat steel construction with a clear glass top of 16 mm thick! Design Hank Kwint, Netherlands.

This piece evokes the typical sober Dutch modernist Rietveld like modernist atmosphere and would be a great addition to a fifties Pastoe Japanese series furnishing. The heavy metal construction is clearly inspired by the work of ( industrial ) designers Poul Kjaerholm, Fabricius Kastholm and Jean Prouve.
All parts are inspected, cleaned, all is solid, no chips on the edges of the glass, minor shallow marks.
