A spooky French Moyenne poster by prolific French poster artist Boris Grinsson for Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 psychological masterpiece 'The Birds,' based on Daphne du Maurier's 1952 short story of the same name, starring Tippi Hendren in her debut role. The suspense-filled thriller set in an eerie Northern California coastal town besieged by a series of unexplained violent bird attacks remains one of the most terrifying films ever made. Printed in France by Cinemato, Paris. Conservation backed on linen. Backing has smoothed and diminished one vertical and one horizontal machine fold and tiny edge splits to folds upper and right edge. Slight darkening to folds and edges typical of French movie paper of this period.
