About This Piece

A vibrant and lively mid-century floral still life painting, executed in oil onto canvas. The composition centres around a lush bouquet of little wildflowers set in a large blue vase. They are set against a rich green backdrop, which complements the vivid bouquet and highlights its brightness. The artist has used expressive and playful strokes as well as layered dabs of paint, giving the flowers a textured, almost three-dimensional quality. This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary slim gilt frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition. The frame has some very minor scuffs, but is in very good vintage condition overall.
